As personal data leaks have continued at some financial companies, the financial authorities have issued a 'caution' consumer alert to prepare for secondary damage such as voice phishing. The financial authorities have set the month from October 6 as a 'special response period for secondary damage from personal data leaks'. If you are worried about someone using your name, you can apply for the 'financial transaction safe-block service' to block loans, opening accounts without visiting a branch, and open banking in advance. You can apply for this service at a bank branch, on '내계좌한눈에' (My Accounts at a Glance), or in your bank's app. A typical scam is to tell you about 'compensation for the damage' and get you to tap a link in a text message. In a normal loan process, nobody asks you to pay money in advance or install an app.
