Korea's Cumulative Exports Reached 709.4 Billion Dollars, Passing Last Year's Annual Record 117 Days Early

관세청은 9월 5일 오후 1시 기준 올해 누적 수출액이 7094억달러로 집계됐다고 밝혔습니다. 지난해 연간 수출액 7093억달러를 117일 앞당겨 넘었습니다. 1~8월 누적으로는 반도체 수출이 2812억달러로 지난해 같은 기간보다 169.6% 늘어 전체 증가를 이끌었고, 전체 수출에서 반도체가 차지하는 비중은 40.6%입니다. 같은 기간 컴퓨터 주변기기와 석유제품은 늘었지만 승용차는 4.4%, 자동차부품은 7.3% 줄었습니다. 국가별로는 중동이 9.8% 줄어든 것을 빼면 중국과 미국, 베트남, 유럽연합에서 고르게 늘었습니다.

관세청, the customs service, said that as of 1 p.m. on 5 September this year's cumulative exports came to 709.4 billion dollars. That passed last year's annual total of 709.3 billion dollars 117 days early. On a January-to-August basis, semiconductor exports came to 281.2 billion dollars, 169.6 percent more than the same period last year and the main driver of the overall increase, and semiconductors accounted for 40.6 percent of all exports. Over the same period computer peripherals and petroleum products rose, while passenger cars fell 4.4 percent and car parts 7.3 percent. By country, apart from the Middle East falling 9.8 percent, exports rose evenly to China, the United States, Vietnam and the European Union.

기준 after a noun fixes the point or the standard a figure is measured from, and it is doing real work whenever a number could be read against more than one. It can pin a moment (9월 5일 오후 1시 기준) or a method (1~8월 누적 기준), and both appear in this one report. Reading a Korean statistics story means finding every 기준 in it first, because two figures side by side are often not measured the same way.

집계되다 is the passive of 집계하다, to add up, and the resulting figure takes 로. The passive matters: it reports the total without saying who counted, which is how a paper attributes a number to the tally rather than to itself. Compare 나타나다, which says a figure appeared in results, and 밝히다, which names the body that announced it — this sentence uses two of the three at once.

빼다 is to subtract, and 것을 빼면 lifts one case out so the rest can be described as a group.
