The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that, for the professional baseball postseason starting on October 14, it will crack down on ticket scalping on site at the ballparks. The police, the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), the clubs and others are taking part together. On every postseason game day, they will check ticket offices, main entrances and the places nearby where people gather. By October 7, the ministry had received 90,000 reports of illegal resale in sports. Of the roughly 47,000 cases left after removing duplicate reports, it blocked about 40,000 suspicious posts from being shown. On October 6, it asked the police to investigate 121 people suspected of selling tickets at high prices or in large numbers.
