산업통상자원부가 8월 26일 발표한 7월 주요 유통업체 매출 동향에 따르면, 백화점 매출은 1년 전 같은 달보다 17.9% 늘었고 대형마트 매출은 11.2% 줄었습니다. 대형마트는 5개월 연속 매출이 줄었습니다. 7월 업태별 매출 비중은 온라인이 60.8%로 가장 높았고, 편의점 15.0%, 백화점 14.1%, 대형마트 8.1% 순이었습니다. 2022년에 13.0%였던 대형마트 비중은 10% 아래로 내려왔습니다. 백화점에서는 외국인 매출이 늘어, 롯데백화점 본점의 외국인 매출 비중은 30%까지 올라갔습니다. 대형마트들은 배송과 식료품으로 대응하고 있는데, 이마트는 1시간 안팎 배송 ‘바로퀵’ 거점을 88개로 늘렸고 롯데마트는 매장의 90%를 식료품으로 채우는 ’그랑그로서리’를 내세우고 있습니다.

According to the July sales trends for major retailers, released by 산업통상자원부 on August 26, department store sales rose 17.9 percent from the same month a year earlier while big-box store sales fell 11.2 percent. Big-box stores have now seen sales fall for five months in a row. By channel, online had the largest share of July sales at 60.8 percent, followed by convenience stores at 15.0 percent, department stores at 14.1 percent and big-box stores at 8.1 percent. The big-box share, which was 13.0 percent in 2022, has come down below 10 percent. At department stores, sales to foreign customers have grown, and the foreign share at the main 롯데백화점 store has risen to 30 percent. The big-box chains are responding with delivery and groceries: 이마트 has expanded the bases for its roughly one-hour 바로퀵 delivery to 88, and 롯데마트 is pushing 그랑그로서리, a format that fills 90 percent of the floor with food.

-던 N (회상 관형형)the N that used to be ...
-던 modifies a noun with something that was true in the past and is being recalled, usually because it has since changed. 13.0%였던 비중 is a share that used to be 13.0 percent, and the sentence goes on to say where it is now. Compare plain -(으)ㄴ, which reports a completed action without that backward glance. Business writing uses -던 constantly to set up a before-and-after in a single noun phrase.
Example: 2022년에 13.0%였던 대형마트 비중은 10% 아래로 내려왔습니다.

N 순이다in the order of N
순 means order or sequence, and putting a list in front of 순이었습니다 says the items are given from largest to smallest. Korean statistical writing uses it to rank several figures without a separate sentence for each, and the ranking direction is understood rather than stated. Note that 순서 is the fuller noun for order; 순 on its own is the compact form that appears in this pattern.
Example: 편의점 15.0%, 백화점 14.1%, 대형마트 8.1% 순이었습니다.

-는데 gives the background for whatever comes next, and the relationship can be contrast, explanation or simply setting the scene, decided by context rather than by the ending itself. Here it introduces a general statement and then lets two examples follow. Use -는데 after action verbs and -(으)ㄴ데 after descriptive ones; it is also the ending that lets a Korean sentence trail off politely in speech.
Example: 대형마트들은 배송과 식료품으로 대응하고 있는데, 이마트는 거점을 88개로 늘렸습니다.
The big-box chains are responding with delivery and groceries, and 이마트 has expanded its bases to 88.
