소상공인시장진흥공단은 9월 첫째 주 전국 전통시장 37곳과 인근 대형마트 37곳, 온라인플랫폼 2곳을 대상으로 추석 제수용품 28개 품목의 가격을 비교한 결과를 15일 공개했습니다. 올해 추석 차례상을 전통시장에서 준비하면 대형마트에서 살 때보다 20% 가까이 싼 것으로 조사됐습니다. 4인 기준 차례상 비용은 전통시장이 평균 35만2553원, 대형마트가 평균 43만2062원, 온라인플랫폼이 평균 37만367원으로, 전통시장이 대형마트보다 7만9509원(18.4%), 온라인플랫폼보다 4.8% 쌌습니다. 품목군별로는 전통시장이 대형마트보다 채소류 52.7%, 수산물 32.2%, 육류 16.9% 순으로 가격 우위를 보였고, 28개 품목 중 22개에서 전통시장이 더 쌌습니다. 개별 품목 중에서는 깐도라지(71.9%), 고사리(68.6%), 동태포(43.1%)의 차이가 컸습니다. 올해는 전통시장과 대형마트뿐 아니라 온라인플랫폼까지 조사 대상을 넓혔습니다.

On the 15th, the Small Enterprise and Market Service released the results of a price comparison of 28 items used for 추석 ancestral rites, surveyed in the first week of September at 37 traditional markets nationwide, 37 nearby big supermarkets and two online platforms. Preparing this year's 추석 ancestral table at a traditional market was found to be close to 20% cheaper than buying at a big supermarket. For a four-person table, the cost averaged 352,553 won at traditional markets, 432,062 won at big supermarkets and 370,367 won on online platforms, so the market was 79,509 won (18.4%) cheaper than the supermarket and 4.8% cheaper than the online platforms. By category, markets held the price advantage over supermarkets in vegetables (52.7%), seafood (32.2%) and meat (16.9%), in that order, and were cheaper on 22 of the 28 items. Among individual items, the gaps were largest for peeled bellflower root (71.9%), bracken (68.6%) and sliced pollack (43.1%). This year the survey was widened beyond traditional markets and supermarkets to include online platforms.

보다 marks the thing being compared against, and the percentage that follows is measured from that baseline. 대형마트보다 18.4% 싸다 means the market price is 18.4% below the supermarket price; measured the other way, the supermarket would be about 22.6% dearer. Always read the noun before 보다 first.

N 중out of ..., among ...
N 중 gives the whole from which a count is taken: 28개 품목 중 22개 is 22 out of 28. It is shorter and more colloquial than 가운데 and is the usual way survey results state a proportion as a count rather than a percentage.
Example: 28개 품목 중 22개에서 전통시장이 더 쌌습니다.
The traditional market was cheaper on 22 of the 28 items.
