According to the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA) on 23 September, a total of 257,650 visitors came to the Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture from 17 September. It had been due to run for five days until the 21st, but the final day was cancelled as Typhoon No. 25, Dujuan, approached. Business matching reached 3,673 cases, the most ever. Korean companies taking part numbered 127, more than 2.5 times last year's 50, the second-largest number after the host country, Japan. Some 30,000 visitors came to the booth for NCSoft's new title 'Astrae Oratio', and on the 19th the wait to try it passed 120 minutes, so on-site registration closed early. Tickets to queue for Netmarble's 'Shangri-La Frontier: Seven Strongest Species' ran out during the morning of the 19th. Shift Up gave the world's first public demonstration of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 'Stellar Blade Complete Edition'. The Korea Creative Content Agency supported 15 small and medium-sized Korean game companies in taking part in a joint pavilion.

(으)로 can mark a cause as well as a means: 태풍의 접근으로 일정이 취소됐다, the schedule was cancelled because of the typhoon's approach. It is shorter than -기 때문에 and is what news writing uses for weather and accidents.
