300여 년 전 조선 왕실이 70세 이상 원로대신을 위해 차린 잔칫상이 서울 종로구 한식갤러리에 재현됐습니다. 한식진흥원과 궁중음식문화재단은 9월 22일 한식문화공간 이음 한식갤러리에서 협업 전시 ’왕의 잔칫상, 오늘로 이어지다’를 개막했습니다. 전시에서는 궁중음식문화재단이 제공한 자료를 활용해 1719년 숙종 45년에 열린 ’기로연’의 잔칫상 일부를 재현했습니다. 기로연은 70세 이상의 원로 문신을 예우하기 위해 국가가 베푼 잔치입니다. 조선왕조 궁중음식은 전국에서 진상된 식재료와 왕실의 조리 기술을 바탕으로 형성됐고, 1971년 국가무형유산으로 지정된 이후 궁중음식연구원과 궁중음식문화재단을 중심으로 전승과 보존, 교육, 연구가 이어지고 있습니다. 전시는 누구나 무료로 관람할 수 있습니다.
Translation
A banquet table that the Joseon royal court set for senior officials aged 70 and over, more than 300 years ago, has been recreated at the Hansik Gallery in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The Korean Food Promotion Institute and the Royal Cuisine Culture Foundation opened the joint exhibition 'The King's Banquet Table, Carried On to Today' at the Hansik Gallery in the food culture space Ieum on 22 September. Using material provided by the Royal Cuisine Culture Foundation, the exhibition recreates part of the banquet table for the 'giroyeon' held in 1719, the 45th year of King Sukjong's reign. The giroyeon was a banquet given by the state to honour senior civil officials aged 70 and over. Joseon royal cuisine was formed from ingredients sent up from all over the country and the cooking skills of the court; since being designated national intangible heritage in 1971, it has been passed on, preserved, taught and researched, centred on the Institute of Royal Cuisine and the Royal Cuisine Culture Foundation. Anyone can see the exhibition free of charge.
