서울대공원은 6월에 태어난 레서판다 쌍둥이 남매를 10월 14일부터 시민들에게 공개합니다. 수컷 이름은 ‘마루’, 암컷 이름은 ’마롱’입니다. 이름은 시민들에게 SNS로 공모해서 정했습니다. 두 마리는 국내 최초로 자연번식에 성공한 레서판다입니다. 아빠 ’라비’는 캐나다에서, 엄마 ’리안’은 일본에서 2023년에 서울대공원으로 왔습니다. 레서판다는 낮보다 이른 아침이나 오후 4시 이후에 더 활발하게 움직입니다.
Translation
Seoul Grand Park will show the red panda twins, a brother and sister born in June, to the public from October 14. The male is called 'Maru' and the female is called 'Marong.' Their names were chosen through a contest the zoo held for citizens on social media. The two are the first red pandas in Korea to be born through natural breeding. Their father, 'Rabi,' came from Canada and their mother, 'Lian,' came from Japan to Seoul Grand Park in 2023. Red pandas move around more in the early morning or after 4 p.m. than during the day.
