Nuri's fifth launch is scheduled to take place at the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Jeolla Province, between 12:23 and 1:23 in the afternoon on 7 October. The satellite section is about 111 kg heavier than on the fourth launch, because new parts such as a cylindrical adapter that holds and releases cubesats were added, and the satellite dispensers and adapters alone gained about 100 kg. The target is a 570 km sun-synchronous orbit, lower than the fourth launch's 600 km. All 10 cubesats on board were built by Korean companies, universities and research institutes, and 'GBSAT', made by seven KAIST undergraduates, will gather space radiation data by measuring the density of high-energy protons in Earth's magnetic field. Of the 22 consoles in the launch control centre, 20 will be staffed by Hanwha Aerospace employees, while the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, which ran the consoles on the fourth launch, steps back to management and supervision. The 75 billion won budget for the seventh and eighth launches is under review in the National Assembly.
