9일 오후 2시 15분쯤 인천 옹진군 선재도의 작은 섬 목섬에 외국인 2명이 걸어 들어갔다가 물이 차서 나오지 못하고 있다는 신고가 들어왔습니다. 신고를 받고 출동한 인천해경 영흥파출소는 목섬에 고립돼 있던 미얀마 국적 20대 여성 2명을 안전하게 구조했습니다. 구조 당시 두 사람 모두 건강에는 이상이 없는 것으로 확인됐습니다. 이날은 밀물이 가장 높은 대조기로, 조차가 크고 해수면이 빠르게 올라갔습니다. 해경은 서해안 일대는 물때에 따라 고립될 위험이 크다며, 방문 전에 기상과 물때를 미리 확인하고 위험 지역에는 들어가지 말 것을 당부했습니다.
Translation
At about 2:15 p.m. on the 9th, a report came in that two foreigners had walked out to 목섬, an islet off 선재도 in 옹진군, 인천, and could not get back because the water had risen. The Coast Guard's 영흥 station responded and safely rescued two women from Myanmar in their twenties who had been stranded on 목섬. At the time of the rescue, both were confirmed to be in good health. That day was a spring tide, when the high tide is at its highest, so the tidal range was large and the sea level rose quickly. The Coast Guard asked people to check the weather and tide times before visiting the west coast, where there is a high risk of being cut off, and to stay out of dangerous areas.
