서울의 한 식당을 찾은 외국인 손님이 국수 면발로 ’맛있어’라는 글씨를 만들어 놓고 간 사진이 온라인에서 화제입니다. 9월 15일 소셜미디어 엑스(X)에 올라온 이 게시물은 사흘 만인 18일 조회수 1250만 회를 넘겼습니다. 사진에는 손님이 먹고 남은 면발로 한글을 적어 놓은 모습이 담겨 있습니다. 얼핏 보면 ’맛있어’로 보이지만, 글씨가 서툴러서 ’앗았아’처럼 보이기도 합니다. 이 식당은 서울 서대문구에 있고 칼국수와 비빔밥, 만두 등을 팝니다. 여러 나라 누리꾼들이 사진을 번역기에 넣어 봤는데, 번역기가 글씨를 엉뚱하게 읽어 전혀 다른 문장으로 번역된 사진들도 올라와 웃음을 주었습니다.

A photo of a foreign customer at a restaurant in Seoul who arranged leftover noodle strands into the word '맛있어' (delicious) before leaving has gone viral online. The post, uploaded to the social media platform X on 15 September, passed 12.5 million views on the 18th, three days later. The photo shows the customer's Korean lettering made from the noodles left after the meal. At first glance it reads '맛있어', but the writing is a little clumsy, so it can also look like '앗았아'. The restaurant is in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, and sells kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), bibimbap and dumplings. Users from many countries ran the photo through translation apps, and pictures of the apps misreading the letters and producing completely different sentences were posted too, to general amusement.
