국립생물자원관은 멧돼지가 나타나고 움직이는 모습을 실시간으로 파악하는 AI 감시 기술을 개발했다고 10월 1일 밝혔습니다. 서울에서 멧돼지 때문에 소방이 출동한 건수는 2023년 649건, 2024년 589건, 2025년 494건이었습니다. 올해도 6월까지 벌써 236건에 달했습니다. 이 기술은 멧돼지 사진 약 1만 2000장을 학습한 AI가 무인기와 CCTV 영상에서 멧돼지를 자동으로 찾아냅니다. 무인기는 반경 3㎞ 안에서 멧돼지를 찾고, 발견하면 담당자에게 자동으로 알림을 보냅니다. 북한산 일대에서 시범 운영해 정상적으로 작동하는 것을 확인했고, 11월부터 지방정부에 이 프로그램을 제공할 계획입니다.
Translation
On October 1, 국립생물자원관 (the National Institute of Biological Resources) said it had developed an AI surveillance technology that tracks in real time where wild boars appear and move. In Seoul, fire services were called out over wild boars 649 times in 2023, 589 times in 2024 and 494 times in 2025. This year the number had already reached 236 by June. With this technology, an AI trained on about 12,000 photos of wild boars automatically picks out boars in video from drones and CCTV. The drone looks for boars within a 3 km radius, and when one is found it automatically sends an alert to the officials in charge. The institute tested it around Bukhansan and confirmed that it worked properly, and it plans to provide the program to local governments from November.
