제48차 유네스코 세계유산위원회가 7월 19일부터 29일까지 부산 벡스코에서 열렸습니다. 한국에서 이 회의가 열리는 것은 이번이 처음입니다. 196개 나라 대표 등 약 3000명이 모였습니다. 이번에 문화유산 19건, 자연유산 5건, 복합유산 1건, 모두 25건이 새로 세계유산이 되었습니다. 이제 전 세계 173개 나라에 세계유산이 모두 1273건이 되었습니다. 위험에 처한 세계유산 목록에도 5건이 새로 들어가서 모두 58건이 되었습니다. 이번 회의 기간에 대한민국관 전시를 약 10만 6820명이 보러 왔습니다.
Translation
The 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting was held in Busan, at BEXCO, from July 19 to 29. This is the first time the meeting has been held in Korea. About 3,000 people gathered, including delegates from 196 countries. At this meeting, 25 new sites were added to the World Heritage List: 19 cultural sites, 5 natural sites, and 1 mixed site. The world's total World Heritage sites now stand at 1,273 in 173 countries. Five sites were also added to the List of World Heritage in Danger, bringing the total to 58. During the event, about 106,820 people visited the Korea Pavilion exhibition.
