수원화성문화제가 10월 4일 개막해 11일까지 열립니다. 개막일에는 정조대왕 능행차를 재현한 왕실 행렬이 장안문에서 출발했습니다. 행렬에는 말 60필과 2200여 명이 함께했습니다. 정조대왕 능행차는 200여 년 전 혜경궁 홍씨의 회갑을 기념하고 사도세자의 묘를 참배하기 위해 열린 큰 행렬입니다. 정조의 밤 군사 훈련을 재현한 공연 ’야조’에는 시민 100여 명이 배역을 맡아 참여했습니다. 물 위에서 음악과 빛으로 펼치는 공연 ’선유몽’도 열립니다.

Translation

The Suwon Hwaseong Culture Festival opened on October 4 and runs until the 11th. On the opening day, a royal procession re-enacting King Jeongjo's royal journey (능행차) set off from Janganmun Gate. Sixty horses and more than 2,200 people took part in the procession. King Jeongjo's royal journey was a large procession held more than 200 years ago to celebrate the 60th birthday of Lady Hyegyeong (혜경궁 홍씨) and to pay respects at the tomb of Crown Prince Sado (사도세자). About 100 citizens took on roles in '야조', a performance that re-creates King Jeongjo's night-time military training. '선유몽', a performance on the water with music and light, is also being held.
