Translation
On October 7, the Korean launch vehicle Nuri lifted off from the second launch pad at the Naro Space Center in Goheung and separated its first stage, fairing and second stage in turn. On this fifth launch, Nuri completed its mission by putting five ultra-small cluster satellites into their target orbit. All five satellites separated at 575 to 580 km, within the allowed margin of the 570 km target altitude. However, one of the ten cube satellites carried alongside them, developed by Quaternion (쿼터니언), was not ejected. With four successes in a row since the failure of its first launch in 2021, Nuri's cumulative launch success rate has risen to 80%. The government plans to launch Nuri at least once a year until 2032 to make it more reliable, and to shift to a commercial launch service led by private companies.
