서울시가 추석 연휴 종합대책을 9월 13일 발표했습니다. 귀경객이 몰릴 것으로 예상되는 추석 다음 날인 26일과 27일 이틀 동안, 시내버스와 지하철 막차 시간을 다음 날 오전 1시까지 늘립니다. 지하철 1~8호선과 9호선, 우이신설선, 신림선은 마지막 열차가 오전 1시에 종착역에 도착하도록 모두 128회 더 운행합니다. 시내버스는 서울역, 청량리역, 수서역 등 주요 기차역 5곳과 버스터미널 3곳을 지나는 노선의 막차를 다음 날 오전 1시에 통과하도록 조정하고, 심야 N버스는 연휴 내내 정상 운행합니다. 연휴 기간에는 응급의료기관 51곳과 응급실 운영병원 23곳 등 74곳이 24시간 문을 엽니다. 연휴 나흘 동안 문을 여는 병·의원과 약국은 모두 6036곳으로, 하루 평균 1509곳입니다.

Translation

The Seoul city government announced its 추석 holiday plan on 13 September. On 26 and 27 September, the two days after 추석 when people are expected to pour back into the city, the last buses and subway trains will run until 1 a.m. the next morning. On subway lines 1 to 8, line 9, the 우이신설 line and the 신림 line, 128 extra trains will run so that the last train reaches its terminus at 1 a.m. City bus routes that pass five major railway stations, including Seoul Station, 청량리 and 수서, and three bus terminals will have their last buses pass through at 1 a.m. the next day, and the late-night N buses will run as normal throughout the holiday. During the holiday, 74 facilities, 51 emergency medical centres and 23 hospitals with emergency rooms, will be open 24 hours. Over the four days of the holiday, 6,036 clinics and pharmacies in total will be open, an average of 1,509 a day.

N 동안for (a length of time), during

N 동안 marks how long something lasts: 이틀 동안, for two days; 연휴 나흘 동안, over the four days of the holiday. Korean counts days with native numerals here, 이틀 (two days) and 나흘 (four days), so the words do not look like 2 and 4.

Example: 추석 다음 날인 26일과 27일 이틀 동안 막차 시간을 다음 날 오전 1시까지 늘립니다.

For the two days after 추석, the 26th and 27th, the last services are extended to 1 a.m. the next day.

N 등..., etc.; ... and others

등 after a list says the list is not complete. 서울역, 청량리역, 수서역 등 주요 기차역 5곳 names three of the five stations and lets 등 stand for the other two. When a count follows 등, the count is the real total and the names before it are only examples.

-도록 states the outcome an arrangement is meant to produce, and the main verb after it is the measure taken: 오전 1시에 도착하도록 128회 더 운행합니다, 128 extra trains are run so that the last one arrives at 1 a.m. The goal comes first, the action second.

Example: 마지막 열차가 오전 1시에 종착역에 도착하도록 모두 128회 더 운행합니다.

A total of 128 extra trains run so that the last train reaches its terminus at 1 a.m.
