10월 8일 오후 5시 52분쯤 제주 이시돌사료공장에서 사일로 철거 작업을 하던 크레인과 구조물을 연결한 와이어로프가 끊어지면서 구조물이 쓰러졌습니다. 쓰러진 구조물이 근처의 고압전선과 통신선을 덮쳐 전선이 끊어졌고, 차량 2대와 전신주, 클린하우스 등이 파손됐습니다. 차량 1대는 구조물에 완전히 깔렸습니다. 한전은 이 사고로 581가구가 정전된 것으로 파악했습니다. 복구 작업이 진행되면서 오후 7시 7분부터는 정전 가구가 103가구로 줄었습니다. 인명피해는 없었습니다.
Translation
At around 5:52 p.m. on October 8, at the Isidore feed factory in Jeju, the wire rope connecting a crane to a structure snapped during work to demolish a silo, and the structure fell over. The fallen structure landed on nearby high-voltage power lines and telecommunications lines and cut them, and two cars, a utility pole and a 'clean house' were damaged. One of the cars was completely crushed under the structure. KEPCO (한국전력) found that 581 households had lost power because of the accident. As repairs went on, the outage was reduced to 103 households from 7:07 p.m. No one was hurt.
