In the FUNdex survey by Good Data Corporation, a K-content competitiveness analysis firm, '포핸즈' held first place for a third straight week in the combined TV-OTT drama buzz category for the second week of September, with a 7.38% share. In the cast buzz category too, Lee Jun-young came first with a 3.95% share and Song Kang second with 3.66%. Ratings started at 3.4% for the first episode on 29 August, then moved between the 4% and 5% range at 5.9%, 4.4%, 5.8% and 4.2% for episodes two to five. Episode six, broadcast on 13 September, climbed to 7.3%. That is 3.1 percentage points above the previous episode and the programme's own record.

힘입다 means to be helped by, and N에 힘입어 attributes a result to a supporting cause: 화제성에 힘입어 기록을 새로 쓰다, to set a new record on the strength of its buzz. It is a written, slightly formal way to say 'thanks to'.

연속 after a count means 'consecutive': 3주 연속 1위, first place three weeks in a row. The count keeps its counter word (주, 회, 년), and 연속 goes directly before the thing that repeats.

보다 marks the thing compared, and the amount of the difference goes between it and the adjective: 직전 회차보다 3.1%포인트 높다, 3.1 points higher than the previous episode. Ratings news uses 포인트 for differences between percentages, never % alone.

Example: 직전 회차보다 3.1%포인트 높은 자체 최고 시청률입니다.

That is 3.1 percentage points higher than the previous episode, the programme's own best.
