8월부터 컵라면과 과자 값이 올랐습니다. 농심의 육개장사발면은 1100원에서 1200원이 되었습니다. 컵라면 값은 올랐지만 신라면 값은 오르지 않았습니다. 콜라와 빵, 도넛 값도 오르고 있습니다. 회사들은 환율과 기름값이 올라서 값을 올렸다고 말합니다.
Translation
Cup noodle and snack prices went up starting in August. Nongshim's Yukgaejang Sabalmyeon (a bowl-type cup noodle) went from 1,100 won to 1,200 won. Cup noodle prices went up, but the price of Shin Ramyun did not. The prices of cola, bread and doughnuts are going up too. The companies say they raised their prices because the exchange rate and the price of oil went up.

Attach 부터 to a time or place word to mark where something begins. 8월부터 means "starting in August." The matching word for the end point is -까지 ("until").
Example: 우리 가게는 아침 아홉 시부터 문을 엽니다.

-지만but, although
Joins two contrasting clauses inside one sentence. Attach 지만 straight to the verb or adjective stem: 올랐지만 = "it went up, but…". The second clause says something different from what the first clause leads you to expect.
Example: 김치는 조금 맵지만 아주 맛있습니다.
Kimchi is a little spicy, but it is very tasty.
-아서/어서because, so
Gives a reason: the first clause is the cause and the second is the result. Use -아서 after a stem whose last vowel is ㅏ or ㅗ, and -어서 after the others. 오르다 is irregular — 오르- plus -아서 becomes 올라서, as in 값이 올라서 ("because the price went up…").
Example: 날씨가 더워서 물을 많이 마십니다.
The weather is hot, so I drink a lot of water.
-고 있습니다is/are ~ing (in progress)
Shows an action happening right now, or a change that keeps going. 오르고 있습니다 means prices are still going up, not that they rose once and stopped.
Example: 지금 밖에 비가 오고 있습니다.
It is raining outside right now.
